Use this books quiz for a relaxed round at home or before a club meeting. There are thirty questions across six classic books. Each has four choices and one checked answer. You can leave a question blank, change a choice or stop partway through. The score names how many you answered, so a blank never counts as a confirmed wrong answer.

The questions follow the books rather than their film versions. Six titles give this round a clear scope: Austen and Brontë sit beside Doyle, Shelley, Stevenson and Stoker. This is a small classic-book game, not a measure of how widely you read. If one book is new to you, skip its questions or return after reading it.

There are thirty possible points across six books. Check a partial round whenever you wish: the score separates correct choices, answered questions and blanks. For a meeting, the question PDF can go to the table while the host keeps the answer key.

How the books quiz score works

The classic round has five items per book. Four answer choices accompany each item, and its stable ID connects the screen to both paper sizes. If you try only the five Austen questions, the score concerns those five answers; it does not call the remaining twenty-five incorrect.

Open a source note when you want to discuss an answer, then return to the next book. Reset answers clears all thirty radio groups and closes the notes. For a shorter game, leave entire books blank rather than guessing through stories no one at the table has read.

The two question files contain all thirty items without their answers. The separate keys give the reason and text reference for each ID. Hand out questions first and check that the host has the matching Letter or A4 key before the first round begins.

FAQ

Can I stop before the last question?

Yes. You can run one five-question book round, check it, then add another. The current score counts only selected choices. On paper, keep a separate answered total when players pass, so a score of four from five is not mistaken for four from thirty.

What if my edition has different pages?

Look up the named chapter or story instead of comparing page numbers. Austen paperback pages need not match a digital edition. For a correction, send the question ID, book title and edition to hello@bibliofiend.com. That identifies the record used in both downloadable keys.

The thirty original questions cite openly readable source editions. BiblioFiend has no affiliation with the publishers or rights holders. Knowing these six books is the scope of the game, not a definition of a well-read person.
