London: Methuen & Co [1932], 23rd edition. (Hardcover) 100pp. Very good in good to very good dust jacket. Blue cloth with gilt titles and illustration. Illustrated endpapers, top edge gilt, illustrations. The ends of the spine and corners are lightly worn, the fore and bottom edges of the text block are a bit soiled, the jacket is soiled, has minor edgewear, and chipping at the corners and ends of the spine. Illustrations by Ernest H. Shepard. (Juvenile).

London: G.E. Eyre and W. Spottiswoode [circa 1890s]. (Hardcover) Very good. Diamond 32mo. Volume bound in brown leather with raised bands on the spine, stamped in blind front and back, metal clasp, and metal Star of David (enameled in blue and green and with the letters "IHS" in the center in gold), inner dentelles in gilt. All edges gilt over red, coated brown endpapers. The covers are lightly rubbed, and there is an owner name on the front blank page. Although the book has been well used, it is not badly worn. London: John Tallis and Company [circa 1850s]. (4to) Very good. Pebble grained cloth over 3 / 4 brown leather with ribbed spines. Marbled endpapers, all edges gilt, 43 steel engravings, double page map with outlines in color. The top corner of the back cover of Vol.1 has been damp and is a bit distorted, the spines are lightly faded, and some of the plates have spotting and dampstains. A tight, solid set which presents well on the shelf. Engravings by H. Warren. (Sets, History--Ireland, Sets).

Glasgow: William Collins, Sons And 1866. (4to) 775pp. Very good, no dust jacket. A hefty tome in full brown leather with bevelled edges, decorative gilt borders and spine sections, and design in blind in the center of the front and back covers. All edges gilt, coated yellow endpapers, portrait frontispiece with tissue-guard, printed on double-column and with page borders, 100 drawings on wood and 20 drawings in chromo-lithography. The covers are a bit scuffed, the inner hinges cracked, and a handsome gift inscription dated Xmas 1866. The book is solid and internally clean. Contributors include George Cheever, James Montgomery. Toronto: Ryerson 1942, 1st Canadian Edition. (Hardcover) 396pp. Very good, no dust jacket. Blue cloth with yellow titles. Light wear at the tips of the corners and the top and bottom ends of the spine, a previous owner's inscription on the front endpaper, some stains on a few pages and edges, the untrimmed fore-edges show wear, a few pages have dog-ear creases, and on close inspection one can see that the back inner hinge has been repaired from the inside. In a mylar jacket. (Fiction, Canadian, Juvenile).

Introduction by George Slusser. Illustration by Walter Velez. (Science Fiction).

New York: Grosset & Dunlap 1915. (Hardcover) 365pp. Very good plus in very good dust jacket. Printed c1927. Red cloth with black lettering on the cover and spine. Illustrations, 25 titles in advertisement at the back. The dust jacket is chipped and edgeworn with an inch-long chip out of the top and the bottom of the spine, an inch-long closed tear to the front panel, a diagonal closed tear to the back panel, and a previous owner's name and date on the front endpapers. Top edges stained red, maps, fold-out maps, appendices, indices. Tape-stains to the front endpapers of Vol.2, some tape damage to the inner gutter and back hinge of Vol.4, the top edges faded, the dust jackets have some tape repairs to the edges, and a few paint splotches on the spines.
