Exciting news for Delirium fans!

Today marked the first script read-through for Fox’s television adaptation of the massively popular series by Lauren Oliver. Based on tweets from actors Daren Kagasoff, Jeanine Mason, and Gregg Sulkin, the read-through went extremely well.

When we saw Lauren the day Requiem hit shelves, she mentioned how thrilled she was with Fox’s approach to the series and the cast chosen to bring her characters to life. It would seem the actors are just as excited to work with one another and delve into Oliver’s dystopian world.

UPDATE: Thanks to Lauren Oliver, we also have a photo of the cast from today!

According to Deliriumnet.com, production is likely to begin sometime this week.

How excited are you to see Delirium? Already counting down the days till next Fall? What do you hope to see in the series?

I think they are showing early sings of amor deliria nervosa. Possibly advanced stages. Their procedures should be hastened.

I just got Delirium for Christmas (I know Christmas was months away but I’m behind on everything I need to read lol). It’s getting difficult to keep track of all the books that are coming out as movies or television shows! But considering I’ve been wanting to read it for a while, this is exciting news. I’m sort of surprised to see that Fox has taken on a book series. Hopefully they’ll do a good job on their adaptation.
