Lev Grossman’s final ‘Magicians’ book set for early 2014 release

We finally have a relative date for the final installment of author and TIME book critic Lev Grossman’s Magicians trilogy. Publishers Weekly just announced The Magician’s Land is scheduled for an early 2014 release.

Viking has purchased the North American rights for the latest book of Grossman’s, who won the World Science Fiction Society’s 2011 John W. Campbell award for Best New Writer. Viking described the upcoming book as “an intricate mystery, a fantastical escape, and a fable of love and redemption.”

BiblioFiend will continue to bring you full coverage on the latest on The Magician’s Land and Lev Grossman.

Are you excited about the final book in the Magicians trilogy? What do you think will happen to Quentin and whoever else might show up?

One thing you need to know about me: Texas. Like true Texans, I'm incredibly prideful about my home state and love everything about it. I'm a co-founder of BiblioFiend and Editor in Chief. I'm also a proud alum of The University of Texas at Austin. My favorite books include Harry Potter, Lord of the Rings, Wicked, and A Tale of Two Cities. Other than reading, my free time consists of writing, movie-watching, following politics, and a little bit of photography. I am also one of the lead hosts of Alohomora!, a podcast that's re-reading and re-discovering the magic of Harry Potter. More than anything, I'm just a kid at heart.

Yes, we are excited…though, what we really need/want is a release date….

  • The Lorbfan

Agree with Book fan. We just want a release date. I’ve been waiting on this book for two years. To tell me that it’s “close” without giving details is cruel and unusual punishment
